the loser that breaks the chain

i got tagged by lori, so here is my list

6 things you may not know about me:

1.  i was a state jumprope champion for six years - from 1995 until 2001 i was undefeated in every category of competition in the state of alabama (individual routine, speed, partner routine, and double-unders).  i have trophies to prove it.

2.  i love listening to music that few others listen to - i would list some examples; however, those reading my blog would be tempted to go out and listen to the music.  this would consequently increase the popularity of the groups, thus making them unattractive to me.

3.  i am writing a book - the idea popped in my head two weeks ago, and i am very excited to see how it progresses.  my mind tends to be full of crazy, creative thoughts on a regular basis.  one day it hit me: "why not write about them?"

4.  i invent new games every day - sometimes when i am bored, i will create a game in my mind that helps bring a sense of excitement to life.  this happens almost anywhere for me.  for example, when i was at auburn, i had to spend a semester entering data for the marriage and family therapy clinic.  i would often pretend that my job was part of a secret mission to uncover evil plots and save the universe.  with the completion of each client's information, i got one step closer to saving the world.  i know it sounds weird, but that is just how my brain works.

5.  i am a loner at heart - a lot of people do not get to see this side of me, because i can also be outgoing.  in reality, i truly enjoy alone time.  i get drained by large crowds and often am disinterested in "small talk".  i like having good, meaningful conversations with people and prefer to be in smaller groups.  it's funny because youth ministry pulls out my extroverted side, so many people only notice that half of my personality.

6.  i eat fruit snacks symmetrically - ever since i was younger, i have always divided them into colors, lined them up on the table, and eaten them in an order that allowed the remaining ones to have a symmetrical pattern.

bonus:  i have specific rules for christmas - christmas music can only be played from the day after thanksgiving until january 1.  the same goes for eggnog consumption and christmas decorations.  these rules are non-negotiable.  violators will be mocked!
